Diwali & Ashtalakshmi ....Intro

Diwali is another wonderful occasion to be grateful to the Master for all that life has to offer.Diwali is a festival of lights. We celebrate the triumph of good over the evil. Its significance is laid out in the sanskrit verse 'Asatoma Sadgamaya Tamasoma JyotirGamaya, Mrityorma AmritamGamaya Om Shanti Sahnti Shanti!. Which means lead us from falsehood to truth, from darkness to light, from death to immortality. This is a time for celebration and contemplation. When we remember those who are less fortunate. Those who may not be eating as heartily or celebrating as festively.Share the blessings that you enjoy this Diwali.

Snippets of the Video....Enjoy!Ashtalakshmi by Gurudev in the words of a Devotee...

It’s a very sacred and a hidden knowledge and this knowledge was revealed by Guruji many years ago and somehow it is not spread to man y people because the more it is sacred the more it is secret and today millions of people the fortunate few are able to receive the knowledge at the right time. Guruji has been an embodiment of this knowledge very rare to be found on this planet. As an instrument I am sharing this.

Lets understand what is Lakshmi first. Within India itself there are so many different religions, within Hinduism and Jainism there are so many castes and sects but regardless every culture prays to Lakshmi. In westernized format Lakshmi is prayed in different ways.In Sanskrit Lakshya means the goal. Lakshmi means the one which assists you to go to your goal. The one which carries you to the goal. Lakshmi has 8 forms.8 forms by which one can reach to the goal.

Goal is Narayana or the self or conciousness.Ashtalakshmi is the 8 ways to reach to the goal.8 mediums of reaching to the divine. And that is why in India also in the Hindu religion Lakshmi is always placed at the feet of Narayana because if you have Lakshmi, Narayana also comes with it and if you follow Narayana Lakshmi has no choice but to be there also. Whichever is easier?

To reach Narayana is sometimes difficult to automatically go into consciousness’ and meditate and reach to the self so we take support of Lakshmi to reach to the self. So what are these 8 forms.....
